When you try out, you will fill out an information sheet and take a short 5-point quiz about major understandings of the Civil War. The quiz score is only to get an idea of what you already know, it does not mean you won't become a member of MT.

There will be a committee of four to five MT senior members and the directors who will listen to your presentations.

Choose a person who actually lived during the Civil War, study that person and prepare a 2 -3 minute presentation by that person.

Your character may also be a fictional person who might have lived during the Civil War. The facts and information that you give must be historically accurate.

The committee will ask you some questions regarding you and your tryout.

If you sing or play a musical instrument, you are welcome to include that in your tryout, but it is not required.

You will be notified by mail regarding the outcome of your tryout within three days after tryouts.
